Section Text · Sec. 217.

(a) Repeal of requirement to act through specified official

Subsections (a) and (b) of section 222 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024 ( Public Law 118–31 ; 137 Stat. 189) are amended by striking , acting through the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, each place it appears.

(b) Repeal of executed requirement

Such section is further amended—

(1)

by striking subsection (c); and

(2)

by redesignating subsections (d) and (e) as subsections (c) and (d), respectively.
