Section Text · Sec. 513.

(a) In general

Section 3 of the Military Selective Service Act ( 50 U.S.C. 3802 ), as amended by section 535 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026 ( Public Law 119–60 ), is further amended by adding at the end the following new subsection:

(c)

In carrying out subsection (a), the Director shall not register a person whose name appears in the Death Master File (as such term is defined in section 203 of the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2013 ( Public Law 113–167 ; 42 U.S.C. 1306c )).

(b) Effective date

The amendment made by this section shall take effect as if included in the enactment of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026.
