Renaming of USNS Cesar Chavez The Secretary of the Navy shall rename the USNS Cesar Chavez (T-AKE-14) in keeping with the naming conventions for that class of vessels and by naming the vessel after an individual, place, or concept that best reflects the values, ideals, and history of the United States and the Navy.
