(5) Update

Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2027, the Secretary of Defense, in consultation with the Secretary of State, shall submit to the congressional defense committees, the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives, and the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Senate an update to the strategy under paragraph (1).
